I started to write about this topic and after about 5 or so sentences realized that I'm basically "selling" my point of view to the reader and, perhaps, as a photographer and somebody who charges for retouching of additional photographs, I could be a little partial?.. So I'll say no more.. Instead, here's a picture as an example of what I typically do as far as skin retouching. Just watch it for a few seconds and you'll see what I mean.. These corrections were done manually by carefully applying various techniques on each individual blemish and skin imperfection while trying to preserve the natural skin texture.. And if this looks like a lot of work- it certainly is! Is it worth it? You be the judge..
